The 27-year-old athlete is set to land in Lahore, his hometown, via Istanbul, with his arrival expected around 1 a.m. on Sunday. The excitement in his native Khanewal is palpable, as preparations are underway to celebrate his historic victory in grand style.

In recognition of Nadeem’s achievement, the deputy commissioner of Khanewal expressed his admiration for the athlete’s contribution to the nation. “Arshad Nadeem’s accomplishment is monumental. He has made Pakistan proud in Paris,” the DC noted.

Joining Nadeem on his journey back to Lahore are Muhammad Akram Sahi, Chairman of South Asian Athletics, and his coach Salman Butt. Both will accompany the gold medallist as they return to a hero’s welcome.

The Athletics Federation of Pakistan and the Sports Board of Punjab are working tirelessly to organize a grand reception for the national hero.
