Grenade explosion near police van injures five in Quetta

QUETTA: At least five people were injured in a hand grenade blast near a police mobile van in the provincial capital on Monday.

The explosion occurred near a police mobile van in the Chalo Bawri area of Satellite Town, Quetta. Although the police van narrowly escaped the blast, five people present at the scene were injured.

The injured were subsequently transported to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.

Following the incident, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and commenced an investigation, collecting evidence from the scene.

This incident follows two bomb blasts a day earlier, which occurred within the Gwalmandi police jurisdiction and on Sariab Road, also in Quetta, injuring five people.
