KARACHI: The Ministry of Hajj is ramping up efforts to finalize the Hajj Policy for 2025, with an official announcement expected next month. Sources involved in the policy development suggest significant alterations are being considered for both the private and government Hajj scheme quotas.
In response to feedback from pilgrims regarding previous Hajj arrangements, the ministry is also contemplating the introduction of new long and short-term Hajj schemes aimed at enhancing the overall experience for pilgrims. These adjustments are part of a broader effort to address past complaints and improve facilities under the upcoming policy.
Additionally, the ‘Road to Makkah’ project, which facilitates immigration procedures at airports, is set to continue at Karachi and Islamabad airports. There is also a proposal to expand this service to include Lahore Airport for the next Hajj season, enhancing convenience for pilgrims traveling from different regions of the country.
The Ministry of Hajj is expected to make the official announcement of the Hajj Policy 2025 soon, outlining these changes and new features in detail.
