PDWP approves Rs1.48bn for development projects

LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved three new development schemes with a total investment of Rs 1.48 billion during its 22nd meeting of the current financial year.

P&D Board Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masoud Anwar, board members, heads, and senior representatives from relevant departments were present at the meeting.

The meeting, chaired by P&D Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, gave the green light to the Provision of Stand-By Pumping Water Supply Scheme in Murree, allocated with a budget of Rs 717.387 million.

Additionally, the rehabilitation of the Donga Gali Water Supply Scheme in Murree was approved with funding of Rs 766.733 million.

A feasibility study for the installation of a chairlift/cable car system at Kotli Sattian, District Murree, was also sanctioned with an allocation of Rs 1 million.
