Prince William has left royal fans pleasantly surprised with an unexpected announcement regarding his next royal engagement, just ahead of Prince Harry’s 40th birthday.
According to a statement from Kensington Palace, the Prince of Wales will be heading to Llanelli, South Wales, on September 10, marking his return to official duties after spending some family time at Balmoral.
A private news outlet reported that William’s itinerary includes visits to the Swiss Valley Community Primary School, the Wales Air Ambulance, and the Scarlets Rugby Union team, where he is set to acknowledge the contributions of individuals in these fields.
Notably, this announcement comes shortly before Prince Harry’s milestone birthday on September 15. The estranged brothers’ last public appearance together was at a memorial service for their late uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, held at St Mary’s Church in Norfolk in August 2024.
In an interview with a private news outlet, Reverend Dan Tansey, who officiated at the memorial service, confirmed the presence of both royal siblings. “As I was greeting the congregation on their way out, Prince William shook my hand, and soon after, Prince Harry did as well,” the vicar shared.
“It was an unexpected, but truly delightful, surprise to see them both there,” he added.
