LHC summons Punjab IG to seek details of cases against Aleema, Uzma Khan

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday summoned Punjab Inspector General of police Dr. Muhammad Usman in case seeking details of all cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.

Justice Ali Zia Bajwa of the LHC heard the case on Aleema Khan’s son Shahraiz Khan’s plea. At the outset of the hearing, the government’s counsel demanded time from the court for providing details of the cases against the PTI founder’s sisters on which the court interjected and denied any further time while

summoning the Punjab IG in the next hearing. Later, the hearing was adjourned till 2pm.
It must be noted that the PTI founder’s nephew had approached the court, pleading that Khan’s sisters were on a physical remand in a case lodged against them in Islamabad while suspecting they might be arrested in any other case.

He had requested the court to provide details of all the cases against her mother and aunt.
