2024 Korea Week: Pakistani, Korean artistes enthrall audiences at music festival

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani and Korean artistes enthralled the audiences at an event held under 2024 Korea Week at the Liaquat Gymnasium here on Thursday.

It was the second event of 2024 Korea Week. The event featured captivating music, dance, and art performances by both Pakistani and Korean artists, marking the start of Pak-Korea Cultural Week 2024.

The event was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP).

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Badr Shehbaz, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Park Ki Jun graced the event with their presence.

Pakistani artists, including Bilal Saeed, Natasha Baig, Uzair Jaswal, and the Khumariyaan music band, showcased their talents, while the Korean Kiki Wang Taekwondo team wowed the audience with their high-energy performance, receiving enthusiastic applause.

The Korea-Pakistan Cultural Week aims to promote the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two nations. As part of the celebration, a Korea-Pakistan Movie Day will be held from October 24 to 27 at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad, featuring the screening of critically acclaimed films from both countries.

Korean films “Ode to My Father” and “The Himalayas” will be shown alongside Pakistani hits “Nayab” and “Superstar,” highlighting the rich diversity and creativity of both nations’ cinema.
