Elon Musk recently questioned Jennifer Lopez’s silence on the alleged crimes of her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. On Monday’s episode, Musk, 53, discussed Lopez’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris and argued that her past relationship with Combs makes her an unreliable political voice.
Musk referenced Combs’ recent legal troubles, saying, “JLo was like his ex-girlfriend… How many people did she warn against Diddy, right? Oh zero, OK,” suggesting that this calls her judgment into question. Combs, who dated Lopez from 1999 to 2001, was recently arrested on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, with allegations of hosting violent, drug-fueled parties. Dozens of lawsuits have been filed against him, though Lopez has not been implicated in any of the claims.
The Tesla CEO continued, questioning how much of the industry was aware of Combs’ actions: “People in the music entertainment industry had to know… where’s the accountability?” Musk himself reportedly used to tout his friendship with Combs, even mentioning him as an investor in Twitter, now known as X.
Musk’s critique aligns with his support for Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and his criticisms of celebrities backing Harris, including Cardi B and Taylor Swift.
