Jennifer Lopez attended the London screening of her latest film, Unstoppable, at Cineworld Leicester Square, where she shared insights into her character’s story of resilience. The biopic, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s company, Artists Equity, explores the life of Judy Robles, a single mother, and her son Anthony, a one-legged wrestling champion.
During a Q&A session, Lopez revealed how deeply she connected with Judy’s journey. “Initially, I thought she was a smaller character, but after meeting her, I realized her story was as important as Anthony’s,” she shared. Lopez emphasized the hidden struggles mothers often face, saying, “There was a whole different story there… things you protect your children from, but that strength and those struggles shape who you are.”
Lopez also reflected on the importance of portraying Judy’s strength and complexity. “I wanted her story to be real… I didn’t want anybody to see me in it,” she said, expressing her dedication to bringing Judy’s resilience to life authentically.
Dressed in a stunning white halter-neck dress with a fluffy jacket, Lopez’s red carpet look was as striking as her performance. Recently, Lopez has been active in the political sphere, endorsing Kamala Harris for president and speaking out against insensitive remarks made about Puerto Rico. “It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans that were offended… it was humanity and anyone of decent character,” she stated.
Her appearance in London comes amid news of her filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, putting to rest months of speculation surrounding their relationship.
