Students and faculty members interact with Pakistan Army at Malir Garrison

KARACHI: Students and faculty members from various educational institutions in Karachi spent a day with the Pakistan Army at Malir Garrison, where they were given a unique opportunity to experience military operations and engage in an interactive session with Corps Commander Karachi, Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar.

The day began with a warm welcome, followed by a tour where students were introduced to the modern weapons used by the Pakistan Army. They were given the chance to ride in an armored vehicle and try their hand at shooting with submachine guns (SMGs) and pistols.

The students also observed various military exercises designed to overcome obstacles during combat, offering them a close-up view of the soldiers’ skills and precision.

“We had the chance to see modern warfare equipment up close, and it was truly impressive to witness the soldiers’ skill in navigating combat obstacles,” said one of the participating students.

Following the activities, an interactive session with Corps Commander Karachi, Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar, provided students with valuable insights. The Corps Commander emphasized the importance of using analytical skills to distinguish between truth and falsehood, urging students to recognize and resist the negative propaganda spread by hostile forces. He also highlighted the significance of countering “fifth-generation warfare” tactics.

The students expressed their appreciation for the day’s events. “It was a highly informative day, and we learned a great deal about how enemies use propaganda. We now understand the importance of combating this type of warfare,” said one student.

The students were also given the opportunity to participate in live firing exercises, and a demonstration was held showcasing action against hostile elements.

At the end of the event, the students and faculty members thanked Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar for organizing the memorable day and the interactive session, reaffirming their support and solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
