Eight PTI workers exonerated in Jinnah House attack case

LAHORE: A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Jinnah House attack case has declared eight Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including women, innocent in the case.

The Administrative Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Manzar Ali Gul, presided over the hearing on Wednesday, during which the JIT presented its findings.

According to the report, the eight individuals—Tauseef Khanum, Saeeda, Ayub, Sarwat Shahid, Nadira Umar, Waheedur Rehman, Sajid Prince, Bilal Farhan, and Farooq—were found not to have participated in the attack on Jinnah House on May 9, 2023.

These PTI workers had been booked in a case filed at the Sarwar Road Police Station following the riots that erupted after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
