Pakistan Navy to host 9th edition of multinational AMAN exercise next month

KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy is set to host the 9th edition of the Multinational exercise AMAN next month, marking another milestone in its ongoing efforts to strengthen international naval cooperation.

This biennial exercise, which has gained significant recognition as a major global naval event, will bring together naval forces from around the world to engage in collaborative exercises aimed at enhancing maritime security. The growing global participation in AMAN reflects the trust and confidence the international community places in the Pakistan Navy’s leadership and its dedication to promoting stability in the maritime domain.

The AMAN exercise, which stands for “Peace,” aims to foster peace and regional cooperation while enhancing interoperability between regional and extra-regional navies. With the primary goal of addressing maritime terrorism and crimes, the exercise provides a platform for participating nations to unite their efforts against threats to the global maritime ecosystem.

The exercise is also seen as an important avenue to enhance diplomatic and defense ties, as navies from various countries come together to share knowledge, develop joint strategies, and demonstrate their collective resolve to protect the seas from criminal activity.

In the past, the AMAN exercise has attracted a broad spectrum of countries, further solidifying Pakistan’s role as a key player in advancing collaborative maritime security on an international scale. As the 9th edition approaches, expectations are high for continued success and even greater participation in this pivotal naval event.
