SWAT: A woman along with her two minor children died after roof of their mud-made house collapsed in Shalpin Sher Khana area in Swat’s Khwaza Khela Tehsil.
According to the police and rescuers, the roof of a house, owned by Muhammad Anwar, suddenly collapsed at around 2am Tuesday night. As a result, his wife, 26-year-old Mst Tasleem, six-year-old son Abdurrehman and three-year-old daughter Marwa died under the rubble.
The local people came out of their homes after making announcements and carried out the rescue operation. They recovered the bodies of the woman and her children from under the rubble and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kabal.
Shebar, father of the deceased woman, informed that his son-in-law Muhammad Anwar works a coal mine in Darra Adam Khel as a laborer.
Commissioner visits Saidu Teaching Hospital and Medical College
Meanwhile, Commissioner Malakand Division, Muhammad Abid Khan visited Saidu Teaching Hospital and Saidu Medical College, along with Deputy Commissioner Swat Shahzad Mehboob.
On this occasion, he met with Principal Saidu Medical College and Chief Executive Saidu Teaching Hospital Prof-Dr Israrul Haq and Medical Superintendent Prof-Dr Naeemullah at their offices.
Chief Executive Prof Dr Israrul Haq and MS Prof Dr Naeemullah gave a detailed briefing about Saidu Teaching Hospital and Saidu Medical College to Commissioner Malakand Division and Deputy Commissioner Swat.
Commissioner Abid Khan made a detailed inspection of various wards of Saidu Teaching Hospital.
He made a detailed review of the Medicine Department, NISU and Cardiology Department and also met the patients and got information from them.
The Commissioner Malakand and Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the facilities provided to the patients and assured full cooperation in providing the medicines that are not available.
Later, during his visit to Saidu Medical College, he inspected the Community Medicine Department and the Skull Lab.
