Reel addiction

Kids play an essential role in our society; they are our future. However, a large number of them are being negatively impacted because they spend an exorbitant amount of time scrolling through reels and social media posts. These reels are designed in a way that encourages people to spend hours scrolling aimlessly, with no conscious thought being put to the content that is being consumed.

The addiction to social media and reels has been termed a global problem, specifically by authority figures who are directly involved in the technology. Multiple studies cite the harmful effects of doomscrolling, including depression, anxiety, isolation and low self-esteem.

The government is requested to take policy measures against this generational destruction, and parents are urged to protect their children and be vigilant about the content they consume.
